A few weeks ago, I wrote about the history of my "art cabin" and my plans to fix up the space. Here is a photo of the outside - it will soon have flower boxes!
In order to put down the new floor, I had to pack up all my tools and supplies and move them to the garage. I sometimes feel like I'm always cleaning the studio but never making art, so I was pretty slow to get started on this.
I think there is also an element of fear there. Once it's done, I become a PERSON WITH AN ART STUDIO.
Finally, yesterday, I took the suggestions of my blog readers and got busy. (The "before" picture is on the left.) I set a kitchen timer for one hour, and promised myself a reward of a margarita and an evening of sewing once I had it all finished. Today, all that is left is the fax machine and my little stereo.
