Kathy, the fabric diva behind Pink Chalk Studio arranges her threads in a Mark Garry-worthy rainbow in her sewing studio.   Heart Handmade, Poppy Talk and Yvestown achieve their own levels of photographic perfection.

But honestly, whenever I look at these blogs, I'm always battling feelings of suspicion. I mean, what kind of REAL person can manage to keep an art studio so tidy? You'll get none of that here. This is my art studio the day after Mike put a new floor down for me:

And this is what it looks like now. Well, actually, this is what it looked like after visiting Pittsburgh artist Debra Tomson Williams and I (that's D. in the picture) cleaned it.

And THAT's how the work gets done, people.

Looks nice! While I like a clean and tidy studio, when I'm busy making things, there's not a clean spot in the joint. I don't know how they do it...

Nothing like photos to make up clean up! I love the floor, looks the new one in my office. The one in my sewing room is kind of yucky though, so covered part of it with carpet.
