« How To Write a List Poem. |

You ask me where I got it, I got from her.
I learned to write list poems from Glenis Redmond in her workshop for the 2002 Grantmakers in The Arts conference in Charlotte, North Carolina. Glenis read Mama's Magic, and then my life was never the same. Watch this video - the whole thing - to see what an incredible difference it makes to hear the poet read her own work. Watching it twice helps a lot.

Shewt, now, I'm not super into poetry, but this lady is interesting to listen to. No wonder she inspired you.
