Helen Frankenthaler: Small's Paradise (1964)

Helen Frankenthaler stains untreated canvas with acrylic paint to create her color field paintings. In my mind, I've been rolling giant sheets of untreated canvas down the slope of the orchard and soaking them with lengths of black paint.
