I like this piece very much. The orange peels make me happy. But I so wish there had been fish in the cans. I find kinetic pieces appealing - they tend to have a sense of humor about themselves, not static enough to be morose. We have several local artists who have done gorgeous and intricate pieces like this one - I'll take some pictures next time I drop into the museum down the road. His are water pieces and I could watch them and listen to them forever. Perhaps I am more moved by motion and sound than simply by what is visual. If these things were all made of contiguous words, I'd be sold - well, depending . . .
