I've got a personal campaign going - I unfollow anyone on Twitter who shows support for high-waisted denim cutoffs.
No one wears this in DC area, anyway. Least not in my circles, so I'm safe. Hot, but safe.
I actually *need* to go shopping but I just don't want to. It's Memorial Day - good sales - weather is hot as Hades and I have nothing DC-friendly to wear, sans a couple of cotton shirt dresses that I love.
I'm in the bargaining phase. Maybe I could go Euro and just alternate the two dresses all summer long? OR, I could go in the studio and sew myself a couple of skirts. Probably, I'll wind up going to the office and cranking the A/C while I catch up on paperwork.
I do like this dress.
I hate summer - and summer clothes. Always have. I prefer the weight and texture of fall and winter.
Long sleeves. At least three quarters, or a nice long short sleeve. I hate short, short sleeves - I'm fairly small and pretty strong - but I have biceps on top and looser stuff on the bottom. So by completely different, do you mean than people who wear shorts like that? Because that makes you same as me. And I like the Brooks Brothers dress to, except that it took over the web page and wouldn't let me go once I was there. I like summer in snatches - like early morning. But the mosquitos and the heat and the obligation to be outside appreciating beauty? It makes me tired.
